Bull Hill Bank
England

Bull Hill bank is only really visible half of the time but is a defining feature of any navigation of the Exe.

Standing nearly three metres proud of the lowest tides in places, it forms a vast expanse of deeply rutted sand, and water is barely visible from some parts. It is a great place to watch wildlife, however, with a range of sea birds and occasional seals.

Though the outer edges of Bull Hill can be reached on foot from Exmouth, care is required as there are some very soft sections of sand, and when the tide does come in, it does so with some speed.
