Guimaraes, Church of Sao Pedro
Portugal

Church of St. Peter. This church was warranted in 1737, presenting great simplicity and an elementary architecture. In 1750 it is benzid and welcomes the image of the patron. In 1881 the works were restarted with the demolition of the temporary structures and the houses that were in front of the Church's body.

The work ended in early twentieth century, without the two planned towers, but only one. The church plant is longitudinal, with chapel and single rectangular ship. The main chapel is separated from the nave by cruise arc back perfect and in it stands out the altarpiece, of blue and gold carving, still manifestation of the eclectic taste of the centers of the century. XIX.
