Overlooking the Nyainqentanglha Mountains lhasa tibet
tibet

Located about 100 km north of Lhasa, with Namtso Lake to the northwestern mountainside and Yampachen  to the southern mountainside, Mt. Nyainqentanglha is the highest peak in Nagqu Prefecture and the last mountain to be crossed along the railway to Tibet. Wreathed by cloud and mist all the year round and frequented by wrathful lighting and peals of thunder, the snow-capped Nyainqentanglha stands mysteriously tall and upright over plains, gorges and other snow mountains.

This pano was taken in the observatory on the way to the Namtso Lake
