武汉长江大桥位于湖北省武汉市内，大桥横跨于武昌蛇山和汉阳龟山之间，也就是常说的龟蛇锁大江。武汉长江大桥是我国在万里长江上修建的第一座铁路、公路两用桥梁。全桥总长1670米，其中正桥1156米，北岸引桥303米，南岸引桥211米。从基底至公路桥面高80米，下层为双线铁路桥，宽14.5米，两列火车可同时对开。上层为公路桥，宽22.5米，其中：车行道18米，设4车道；车行道两边的人行道各2.25米。桥身为三联连续桥梁，每联3孔，共8墩9孔。每孔跨度为128米，终年巨轮航行无阻。起了很大的作用。
