We managed to walk around the main CBD of Noumea ... and this park sits ideally in the centre of the city.
Beautiful, well maintained and a nice place to rest after our 'walk' . There are various restaurants and shops around the park making it well catered for shoppers and foodies alike -
New Caledonia was once a french colony. From language, street names, architecture etc ... it has retained much of its french influence and can still be seen and felt around the city.

Noumea is the capital and vacation centre of the Islands of New Caledonia in the South Pacific. Noumea is a "French" city, but the 91,000 inhabitants are a very mixed cultural group with French, Melanesian, Polynesian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and lots of mixtures of these. There are 23 hotels in Noumea ranging from one to five stars and over 100 Restaurants.
